What We Believe
Readiness doesn’t have to be loud. It isn’t a stockpile, a shopping list, or a feeling of worry. It’s a quiet habit, built a little at a time, that leaves you calmer than before.
We believe in the tortoise, not the hare. Small, steady steps. Using what you already have. Learning skills that cost nothing to keep. Peace of mind that comes from knowing you’ve thought things through.
Three Simple Places to Start
You don’t need to do everything. You only need to do the next small thing. Here are three you can do this week:
- Fill a few clean bottles with water. Rinse out clean food-safe bottles you already have (skip milk jugs), fill them with tap water, cap them, and label them with the date. Swap the water every six months.
- Know where your light is. Pick one flashlight or lantern, check that it works, and give it a home everyone in the house knows about.
- Make a pocket card. Phones run out of battery. Put a few key numbers and your own basic info on a card and keep it in your wallet or bag.
That’s it. Three quiet steps, and you are already more ready than you were this morning.
